NFL football Media Television

Every twelve months, the Super Bowl often ranks as the mainly watched show of the year in the United States and second most watched sport event worldwide following the UEFA Champions League final. Four of Nielsen Media Research's top ten programs are Super Bowls. Networks have purchase a share of the distribution rights to the NFL as a means of raise the entire network's profile. Super Bowl is so popular yearly that many companies debut elaborate commercial during the game.

Television rights to the NFL are the most profitable and expensive sports propagation commodity in the United States. Under the current television contracts, which began through the 2006 season, regular season games are broadcast on five networks: CBS, Fox, NBC, ESPN, and the NFL Network. Regionally shown games are transmitting on Sundays on CBS and Fox, carrying the AFC and NFC teams correspondingly.

These games usually air at 1:00 pm ET and 4:05 pm or 4:25 pm ET. Nationally televise games include Sunday night games (shown on NBC), Monday hours of darkness games (publicized on ESPN), the Thursday night NFL start Game (shown on NBC), the yearly Thanksgiving Day games (CBS, Fox and as of 2012 NBC), and all Thursday night games (all but two of which—the kickoff and blessing contests, both of which air on NBC—air on the NFL Network, a wholly owned contributory of the National Football League).
